Cyclists Recommended Itinerary

Look­ing for a bike ride in the Paso Rob­les area that com­bines a chal­leng­ing ride, few cars, beau­ti­ful scenery, and a lit­tle wine tasting?

Start­ing your day at kukku­la deliv­ers. We rec­om­mend a 13.5 mile loop that starts at kukku­la and includes one oth­er win­ery stop. Our gate opens at 10:00 am Thurs­day through Mon­day, but you can give us a call in advance to arrange an ear­li­er arrival.

We rec­om­mend park­ing and rid­ing first, and tast­ing after, but that’s up to you.

After your tast­ing at kukkula:

  • Make a left out of the dri­ve­way onto Chim­ney Rock Rd.
  • Con­tin­ue on Chim­ney Rock for approx­i­mate­ly 3.8 miles, turn left onto Cypress Moun­tain Dr.
  • Fol­low Cypress Moun­tain 3.3 miles at which point it will turn into Klau Mine Road (tech­ni­cal­ly you are turn­ing left onto Klau Mine here, but real­ly you’re going straight). 
  • Con­tin­ue anoth­er 2.2 miles on Klau Mine until you reach Ade­lai­da Rd. (5.5 miles total)
  • Turn right on Ade­lai­da Road
  • Con­tin­ue about 1 mile and turn right into the dri­ve­way at Tablas Creek

Alter­na­tive­ly:
If you’d like a sit-down lunch and wine stop, bypass Tablas Creek Vine­yard and make a left into the dri­ve­way at Hal­ter Ranch (just about 1/​10th mile past Tablas Creek).

After tast­ing at Tablas Creek/​Halter Ranch, return to kukkula:

  • Turn left out of the dri­ve­way at Tablas Creek, or right out of Hal­ter Ranch onto Ade­lai­da Rd.
  • Con­tin­ue on Ade­lai­da 2.1 miles until you reach Chim­ney Rock (Ade­lai­da Ceme­tery will be on your right)
  • Turn Right onto Chim­ney Rock and con­tin­ue .8 miles to kukku­la, on your right

Feel free to bring your bikes up to the tast­ing room, or leave on the crush pad. We also have a pic­nic area above if you want to bring a lunch. Reser­va­tions are required for pic­nics and pre­ferred for tast­ings, but ride-ins are also welcome.
